Straight answers to common questions about the building journey.

Good questions
lead to better projects.

If your question is specific to a site, design or stage of work, call us. A short conversation is often more useful than a general answer.

01When should I speak with Maverick Builds?

As early as practical. Early builder input can help with feasibility, buildability, selections, programme and scope before documentation is locked in.

02Do I need complete plans before contacting you?

No. We can start with an idea, sketch, site information or developed drawings. The next step will depend on how defined the project already is.

03What types of projects do you take on?

Our focus is residential new builds, substantial renovations and extensions, boutique developments and construction project management.

04Can you work with my architect or designer?

Yes. We value collaborative relationships with architects, building designers, engineers and other consultants, with roles and information requirements clarified early.

05How do you manage changes during construction?

Changes are documented, assessed for scope, cost and programme impact, and communicated before affected work proceeds wherever possible.

06How long will my project take?

Timing depends on design complexity, approvals, site conditions, procurement and scope. We establish a project-specific programme rather than promise a generic timeframe.

07Can I stay in my home during a renovation?

Sometimes, but it depends on the scope, services, safety and staging. We discuss the practical implications early so you can make an informed decision.

08How is quality managed?

Quality begins with clear information and continues through material review, capable trades, progressive checks and an organised completion process.

09Do you offer project management without being the builder?

Project management support can be tailored to the project. Contact us to discuss the required role, responsibilities and level of independence.

10What should I prepare for the first conversation?

Bring what you have: your goals, address or site information, drawings, inspiration, target timing and an honest budget range. We will help identify what is missing.
